Our "Never Too Young to Serve" ministry for families has undertaken a special project with the Department of Children and Families in Norwalk. Please consider a donation to help St. A's create a warm and inviting space for children in crisis.

We are collecting specific items and cash donations towards items that need to be purchased to brighten a very institutional children's room. This is a perfect way for you to involve your children in helping to select a gently used item from your home or to shop for a new one.
On Sunday, October 15, we will gather together at the Hospitality Coffee after the 10:00 am Mass for item drop off and our children will work together to create a communal art piece for display in the room.

Sign up below to help on this project by donating/sponsoring items AND sign your child(ren) up to participate in the communal art project!

Help For The U.S. Virgin Islands!

Students Charlotte McGinness and Norah McNichols are seeking donations.

The Virgin Islands have just been hit with two very devastating hurricanes, Irma and Maria. With many towns destructed and damaged they need all the help they can get!  We are collecting donations to help those in need.

  • All donations will be donated to Holy Cross Catholic Church located in St. Croix.
  • The due date for all donations will be on Thursday October 19.
  • Donations can be made in cash or checks, made payable to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
  • Donation  jar will be at the main office.
  • If you have any questions just contact Charlotte McGinness or Norah McNichols

We know our teachers are great teachers, but here are some things you don't know.
This week featuring Mrs. Winington
(3rd Grade)

1.)     How long have you been teaching?
I have been teaching for 20 years!  I have taught all ages, from PreK to College level math and science!

2.)      What is your favorite flower?
My favorite flowers are yellow and white roses!

3.)     Which historical figure would you like to be?
If I could be any historical figure, it would be Princess Diana.  While I love her style choices, it is her charitable work I hold in such deep respect.

4.)  Do you have any pets ?
I have a pet dog named Suzie Q.  She is a greyhound rescue, which we got when she was approximately 4 years old.  She is an adored member of our family!

Dear Parents,

We have run through September in the blink of an eye and before we know it there will be students parading through town on Halloween! Savor the moments!

On that note, this year we have been asked by the Diocese to keep the costumes child-friendly and not scary. For example, no witches, devils, blood, skeletons, weapons, etc.

I want to invite you and your families to the upcoming St. Aloysius Parish Homecoming Fest tomorrow.  Mass will begin at 5:30 pm followed by a barbecue, games, live music, pumpkin decorating, a pie contest and a visit from our one and only Bulldog Mascot! Please wear your St. A's sweatshirt!

Progress reports for grades 4-8 were sent home yesterday so please be sure to check your child's backpack.  If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher directly. I remind you that we have no school on Monday, October 9th in celebration of Columbus Day.

Also, we invite 8th grade parents to our High School Fair next Friday, October 13th between 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Enjoy the Columbus Day holiday weekend!

God Bless You!

Grades 6-8:
Message from Mrs. Nisco:

Our SLAM students quickly jumped into their new leadership roles at the school.  Older students assisted our younger students to their class at the start of the school day.  Based on the smiles, all had a fun time as well.
