Our year-long Third-Grade Local History Program, in partnership with New London Public Schools, began its first round of field trips last week.
This month students visit both Nathan Hale Schoolhouse and the Custom House Maritime Museum.
Over the course of the school year, and under the direction of award-winning educator Jody Barthel, New London Maritime Society will bring all 300 New London third graders to visit up-to six different local historic sites. This program is supported by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut,  The Anthony & Elizabeth Enders Fund, the Morgan McGinley Family Fund, among others.
