Did you know?
O Come Little Children will be on Sunday, December 10th from 10:15-11:45am in the Parish Life Center (PLC - school cafeteria). We hope you can join us for this fun-filled tradition of singing Christmas carols, gathering to make a craft as a family, decorating cookies, and hearing the Christmas story.

Breakfast will be served as we celebrate this Holy Season with friends both old and new. All ages are welcome!

Much more information about things going on in our parish and Lifelong Faith Formation department can be found in our  CONNECTIONS NEWSLETTER.   If you would like to be added to this list to receive this twice-monthly newsletter, email Angie.

Not sure if a mission trip is for you?  See the webpage  for inspiration, and/or  c ome to the meeting on November 28 at 7:00 pm.

Thanksgiving Mass

Wednesday Evening  6:30 PM
November 13, 2017
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
Hopefully everyone has received their child's report card (Gr. 1-8). If there are any questions regarding your child's grades please contact the teacher directly. With the new grading system, we are very pleased and excited about the amount of specific information that we are able to give you regarding your child's progress. We are finding that this method of grading helps your child to take true ownership of their learning. It is a great way for all of us (teachers, parents, and students) to work together to help our students to succeed.

Conferences (by request only) will take place on Wednesday, November 15th from 3-5pm. Conference times have been assigned and sent home. However, if you feel that you would like to meet with a teacher(s), please contact the school office and we will find a time for you. Conferences for ALL students will be held after the second quarter report cards.

Tis the Season of Giving! We have just finished Operation Christmas Child (we will be blessing the boxes on Wednesday at Mass and sending them off) and are in the midst of food baskets for The House of Peace. Soon we will begin the Parish Giving Tree and before we know it the "Souper Bowl". We realize there are many opportunities here at school for your family to participate in "giving back". We also realize that everyone does not have the means to contribute to everything or chooses to do other family projects. Please do not feel pressured into participating in everything we do at school. We encourage participation but do not require it. Perhaps, if you have a family tradition or cause, your child might like to share that with the class.

Blessings,

Mrs. Ellen Knippel

Hot Summer Slice
Thank you to everyone that contributed to this year's Hot Summer Slice event! Whether you played golf, sponsored a portion of the event, donated an auction item, volunteered for the day or joined us for the evening, thank you for your support and for making this year's event a success!
We are estimating profits of $80,000 this year, which will help support 'Project Lead the Way' in addition to technology and academic programs for our school.

Please help us make Hot Summer Slice 2018 even better! Take a few minutes to complete our 2017 Hot Summer Slice survey, let us know what a great time you had, what went well, what you'd like to see improved/changed and if you didn't attend, is there a reason we should consider in planning for next year. Your feedback is important to us and the success of this event. Thank you!
