Aggie Give Day

We are very excited to be holding our own Aggie Give Day this Wednesday, November 15. With a goal of 400 donors and $150,000, we are working hard to meet those goals. Funds raised from Aggie Give Day are directed to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund not only helps with operational costs, fine arts programming and athletics, but it is the largest source of income for scholarships and financial aid for students.

If you have never given to the Annual Fund, here's your chance as you can get your gift matched! We were granted a $50,000 match to be used to match dollar for dollar any first-time donor or for those who have increased their gift this year. This would be any gift made to our Annual Fund which directly benefits ALL Saint Agnes students.

Three easy ways to show your AGGIE spirit over the next three days!
Every Gift Matters!
ALL SCHOOL NEWS
Winter Has Arrived!
School Closing Protocol:  In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to decide our status on any given day by 6:00 AM and post to the four different media sites (WCCO, KARE11, FOX9, KSTP5) by 6:15 AM. For your own sake, we recommend that you set up text message alerts via those news outlets that allow for it to receive the earliest possible notification. For our part, we will most often err on the side of having school. While we understand that families come from a variety of different cities and that weather certain directions from Saint Agnes may vary significantly, should any parents decide not to send their child(ren) to school, we will respect those decisions and excuse the student's(s') absences.

If school is closed, all co-curricular events and practices are postponed or cancelled. In the event of an early dismissal, announcements about postponements and cancellations are made to the students before they leave school. Normally, if school is let out early, conditions are so bad that all practices are cancelled. Under some circumstances, practices may go on, but only for those who can make it there safely.

Morning Commutes:  Please make alternative plans to get to school on time when the weather poses challenges.  Please help your students get up a bit earlier and allow extra travel time to minimize missed class time.  Such an approach will help them learn this necessary skill for their jobs.
Car Raffle
Fliers were mailed out to your households this week. Raffle roll out is Tuesday, November 21st.  Please encourage your students to sell their tickets quickly; there are great weekly incentive drawings for those who meet their minimum requirements early.

Remember - 100% of the proceeds stay at Saint Agnes School!
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Junior High Student Council will be conducting a K-12 Food Drive for the Franciscan Brothers of Peace and the Saint Agnes Food Shelf from November 13th-21st. K-6 students can drop off items in their classrooms and 7-12 students can drop them off in Classroom 54 with Mr. Duresky. Items needed include canned broths and soups, canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, boxed potatoes, pumpkin pie filling, other Thanksgiving sides. Thank you for your support! Please contact Mr. Jeff Duresky with questions.
Lunchroom Volunteers Needed
We are in need of daily lunch volunteers in the cafeteria from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Work once per week, once per month or whenever it fits into your schedule! If you are available during the school day and would like to join our lively, hard working crew, please  contact Annette Beaudry at (651) 925-8826. All volunteers will need to be up-to-date with the Essential Three Requirements.  Learn more about these requirements here.
"Essential Three" Volunteer Requirements
The Archdiocese has mandated that all volunteers who have either regular or unsupervised interaction with minors or vulnerable adults complete the "Essential Three/E3" requirements prior to service. The E3 consists of VIRTUS Safe Environment Training, Background Check and Code of Conduct.  These requirements must be renewed every three years.  Please  visit the parent volunteer page of the website  for instructions on how to complete the re-credentialing process.  Contact Annette Beaudry  with any questions.
