Attention PTSA Committee Chairs
If you are in charge of a PTSA committee this year and are expecting a list of potential volunteers but have not yet received it, check your ICSPTSA email account. If you still haven't received anything, please contact [email protected] to request another copy.

Prefer to Receive Texts for Upcoming PTSA meetings?
The ICS Phone Tree volunteers are a dedicated group of parents who call each ICS family every month to remind them of the upcoming PTSA meeting. If your family would prefer a text message instead of a phone call, please email [email protected] with your student's name/grade and the phone number the Phone Tree should use to send you texts.

Earn Volunteer Hours by Attending Our PTSA Meetings
This month's ICS PTSA meeting is Tuesday, October 10th, in the Sammamish Room of the LWSD Resource Center at Redmond Town Center. We'll begin with a Principal chat at 6:30pm, and the formal PTSA meeting will run 7-8:30pm. Here's the planned agenda.
New this year: We'll count attendance at a PTSA meeting as 1 hour of volunteering for each family represented. We'll have sign in sheets to record who was there, but you'll need to report the hour on the ICSPTSA website.

VOLUNTEERING
Chaperones for Back to School Dance
Chaperones are needed for the Back to School Dance on Friday, October 13th, 6:30-10:30pm, to help with set up and clean up.
Please email Mrs. Nelson  to volunteer. The first eight people to respond get the job!
ACT/SAT Prep Coordinator(s) Needed
Our ACT/SAT Preparation Committee is in need of a chairperson or co-chairs. ACT/SAT preparation classes have been offered at ICS for many years, and these classes are very important for many of our sophomore and junior students. The classes already have been booked for this year, but a coordinator (or two) is needed to take registrations, work with the class providers, etc.
Please contact Diane Martin if you are interested in this volunteer position or would like additional information.

Looking for Special Needs Liaison
We are looking for a special needs liaison to represent ICS with the district council. Your role would be to:
  • Communicate about Special Needs Group meetings and other community events.
  • Advocate for meaningful inclusion in school events.
  • Educate the student body and staff about disabilities.
If you are interested in this fully-supported role please, contact PTSA president or Jennifer MacLachlan.

Lunchroom Chair Needed
ICS students who rely on purchasing their lunch, and all students who eat in the lunchroom and appreciate having a nice place to eat lunch, need your help! A parent volunteer is urgently needed to manage the Lunchroom volunteer schedule to ensure that the lunchroom is fully staffed. This is a work from home position (of course you can also help out in the lunchroom as well if you'd like).
Please contact  Amy Iracheta  if you are interested or have any questions .
