PRISON OUTREACH SYMPOSIUM - THIS SATURDAY
 
We invite you to attend our 5th Annual Symposium this Saturday, November 11th. We will be returning to the original venue where we started these symposiums, the Islamic Society of Orange County

The program is from 11 am until 3 pm. We will hear from Br. Haji Hassan, volunteer Chaplain at the  Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles about POP's outreach efforts and positive impact it continues to have on Muslim inmates. Br. Amin Eshaiker, Program Manager of  Link Outside , a resource for incarcerated Muslims will also be speaking.

Please reserve your seat today as seating is limited. Tickets are only $10 online and will be sold at the door on a first-come-first-served basis, for $20 each.

The Islamic Center of South Bay in Lomita is hosting a Donation Drive-Thru for Rohingya's refugees this weekend, November 11 and 12. If you would  like to make a monetary donation, click here.

Masjid Bilal Islamic Center, a founding member of Shura Council, is hosting their  35th Annual Testimonial to Leadership Banquet this Saturday, November 11th in Los Angeles. Tickets are  available here.

With the mass shooting in Texas this past week, we add another tragedy to a growing list of tragedies.  After this latest mass shooting, one Drexel University professor asks 'What makes White men prone to this behavior?  Additionally,  an international human rights lawyer penned an article asking the question "What is the 'Allahu-Akbar' double standard of terrorism noting that the media uses other words to describe perpetrators with foreign-sounding names.
