Fearless Faith: Loving Fearlessly
September 20, 2017

17  How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? 18  Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.
1 John 3:17-18

“When we are living out our faith with integrity and compassion in the world, God can use us to give others a glimpse of his love and character.”

Richard Stearns, The Hole in Our Gospel, p. 6

Integrity and compassion. These words remind me of the strong and steadfast networks that exist at Northminster Presbyterian Church among members. When one person is flagging - due to health concerns, family issues, the heavy, slow process of mourning, or any number of causes - members are here for each other. You provide concrete offerings such as meals and rides, and just as importantly, you offer your presence by listening and simply being with each other. Often what is most needed is a loving companion, one who does not propose solutions but offers the quiet, steady presence of Christ.

Claudia Ludlow has opened her fresh story in the video below in order to share her gratitude. Listen with your heart. Thanks be to God for each one of you.

Grace and Peace to you,
Nancy
