Administrator's Corner

Happy October TJ,

This month marks the start of a new grading period, and we're off to a strong start.  We had a great turnout for Parent-Teacher conferences last week, and had a successful and fun Jamaican Jam event on Friday.

Please note that students will have no school on October 26th and 27th as it is a teacher workday and a comp day.

Thanks for a great start to the year, let's keep it up!

Feliz Octubre TJ,

PTO Corner
Massive thank you to the parents and helpers who got down n dirty to help with the irrigation dig and installation last month.

TJ dad and architect Matt Bartels of Bennet Wagner Grody coordinated the project with the help of Bill Aldridge, Greg Hericks, Eric Balay and Rick Jarecke. A few other TJ parents were on hand and helped speed the 8-hour project along.

Ken DiPaolo, President, and Jill Bersano, Vice President, of Hyrdosystems- KDI, Inc volunteered their time to design and help install a permanent irrigation system for the trees at the north entrance off Ivanhoe.  Denver Brass & Copper generously supplied all the irrigation supplies and materials.

Several in the community stopped by during the project to express their appreciation of this beautification project. The linden and kentucky coffee trees flower and leaf yellow/gold--TJ colors!

Thanks team!

Spirit Store Help Needed!
We need volunteers!
The TJ Spartan Spirit Store is a virtual store which is online. The store is also set up at some school events such as athletic events, concerts, plays and conference nights.

The PTO Spirit Store is looking for volunteers to man the store and sell items during lunch hours (M, T, Th, F from 11:19-12:04 and Wednesdays from 11:00-11:45) at school. We are also looking for volunteers to sell before and after school a few days a week.

All the inventory for the store is now housed in the glass windowed room across from the auditorium in the front lobby. So it is easy to just open the door and sell items right from there. All the inventory is easily accessible.

Call or email Laura Whalen if you are interested.
