Thanks to the efforts of CCHS students and families, over 5,000 cans/boxes of food were donated to the MSBL Toys For Tots and Holiday Food Drive. The Irish Baseball Team is commended for their participation in this special project, and a special thanks to assistant baseball coach and alumnus Lou Marshall and Mrs. Merenyi.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY
Picture Retake day is this Thursday, November 16th. Any student who missed the first picture day or wishes to have their pictures retaken may do so on their lunch or free period. The photographers will be in the Emerald Cafe. Order forms are available in the Information Commons.

Student Government
Congratulations to the students of CCHS who in fine Irish spirit exceeded their Can Food Drive goal of 2500 cans. Students will have a Color dress day on Friday, November 17, 2017. The classes should dress in their designated class color.
Freshmen: Red
Sophomores: Yellow
Juniors: Blue
Seniors: Green
Students are to follow the guidelines in the student handbook for a dress down day.
Please note: Students who are not dressed properly may receive demerits, be asked to change into a uniform or be sent home. They may lose the relaxed dress privilege for the remainder of the school year.
- Shirts: t-shirts may be worn - no improper messages and no rips or tears
- no sleeveless shirts or tank tops
- no low-cut shirts
- no short shirts - no stomach or waist showing
- no slits in skirts or dresses
- Pants: jeans/sweat pants may be worn - no ripped, frayed, tight or low-cut pants. No writing, logos or messages should be on the seat of the pants.
- NO SHORTS or HATS
- Skirts: girls may wear dresses or skirts within two inches of the knee
- Shoes: sneakers are preferred - No open toed shoes
- Jewelry: see regular dress code
- General Appearance: Students should be dressed neatly and well-groomed. Head covering such as hats and full bandanas may not be worn. Sunglasses are prohibited. Boys may not wear earrings.
SPIRIT WEEK THEME DRESS DAYS!
- Monday, November 20, 2017- Character Day- Students may dress up as their favorite cartoon, Disney, or superhero character. They must be readily identifiable as a character or will be charged $2 for being out of uniform. All money collected will be donated to Joseph House.
- Tuesday, November 21, 2017- Pajama Day- To participate you must wear pajamas - sweatpants and/or shorts do not count as participation. Do not wear pajamas with writing on the seat of the pants. Your chest, stomach and waist should be completely covered with clothing. Undergarments should be worn. No offensive images or sayings. Any student wearing inappropriate nightwear will be given demerits and sent home to change.
- Wednesday, November 22, 2017- Spirit T-Shirt Day- All classes should wear their Spirit Week T-Shirts. If you did not buy a spirit Week T-shirt you must wear your uniform.

8:15 am he or she must enter the building through the Student Affairs entrance (Door C-2) not the Main Entrance.
All other visitors must enter the building through the Main Office.

College Application Transcript Requests

Just a reminder that there is a fee charged for transcripts sent to colleges. The first 3 are free, additional transcripts are $2 each. Please monitor Naviance for fees. Students can submit payment to the guidance office.

From the Nurse's Office
Parents are reminded that all Juniors need a physical. Please schedule appointments if physicals haven't been returned yet and return completed forms to the nurse's office.
The start of winter sports will be here before we know it! Any student trying out for a winter sport must have a current physical on file in the nurse's office. Practice/try-outs begins
November 6th for swimming and ice hockey. Sports physicals for these sports are due no later than
November 3rd. Practice/try-outs for all other winter sports begins
November 20th and physicals are due no later than
November 17th.
If a sports physical becomes a year old during a sport season, there is a 10-day grace period from the date of the last physical to obtain a new one. If no physical is returned at the end of the 10-day grace period, the athlete must sit out of sports until a new physical is returned and cleared. If possible, a courtesy reminder will be sent from the nurse's office, but as noted in the student handbook, it is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure sports physicals are current.
