NAIHC Lawyer of the Year Award
CRITERIA:
  • Demonstrate an outstanding legal contribution to tribal housing;
  • A lawyer whose personal character and dedication to tribal housing furthers the integrity and repute of the legal profession;
  • A lawyer who currently represents or formerly represented a tribe(s) or tribal housing program(s) with specialization in Indian housing;
  • The candidate must disclose the state(s) or tribe(s) where they are admitted to practice law;
  • The candidate must have no record of disbarment, censure or reprimand from federal, state, and/or tribal bar associations;
  • May be active, retired, or deceased; a tribal or non-tribal member.
