We are pleased to announce that we recently received funding which makes it possible to offer WAVE subscribers a lower monthly rate, so the CalCoast™ WAVE will have only one monthly rate instead of three. All new subscriptions will only cost $5.95 per month (formerly the Student Rate). Existing subscribers will be charged the new monthly rate on your next renewal date. Subscribers who prepaid for one year will receive a pro-rated refund. If you didn't receive credentials to access the news articles, please let us know and we will send you login information. FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - MPA Monitoring Program
Seeking a grantee to work in collaboration with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the California Ocean Protection Council, and the MPA Statewide Leadership Team, to develop a set of well-supported recommendations for long-term monitoring indicators and locations that will allow the effects of the MPA Network to be determined on key sectors of the coastal economy focused on commercial and recreational fishing and coastal recreation.

Environmental Justice Follow-up Discussion on October 11, 2017

Climate Action Plan Update - County of San Diego (Planning & Development Services)
The San Diego County Planning Commission has scheduled an informational meeting to discuss the Draft San Diego County Climate Action Plan (CAP). The purpose of the
October 20th, 2017 meeting is for staff to provide an update and review the draft Greenhouse Gas Reduction Strategies and Measures ahead of a formal Planning Commission Hearing early next year. No action will be taken on this matter at this meeting.
2D HEC-RAS Modeling Workshop
This intensive 3-day workshop prepares water resources professionals to use the HEC-RAS (Hydrologic Engineering Center River Analysis System) for modeling two-dimensional (2D) unsteady flow applications. Participants will learn how to approach and construct a 2D model for unsteady flow conditions, and to effectively view and analyze results.
