POSSIBILITIES COULD BE ENDLESS

Hello Everyone

In the movie "The Matrix", Tank says to Neo, "I'm fairly excited to see what you're capable of..." This is a pivotal point in the movie when we too start to wonder what Neo is capable of.

This is not a digression here, I want you too to get excited about what our ISPTSA community is capable of. We have not gone here before with the membership, our push for community could bring changes and results that we did not think were possible. How as a community can we create an exemplary education for our students at IS. How can we support our teachers to provide this?

Like the tripod I talked about a couple of weeks ago, the three legs of membership, financial support and participation hold up our IS community. Participation is about thinking how we can support our students and this school. Participation is becoming part of the conversation.

Plan on attending our Community Membership Meeting, Nov 28th and plan on attending the meet and Greet with Teachers beforehand. This also would be a great time to explore being on the ISPTSA board next year by talking with board members.

I am fairly excited about the possibilities of what our community can do. Community Creates Success at IS.

Meribeth Nordloef-Pedersen
2017-2018 ISPTSA President

WE ARE PROUD TO BE PLATINUM

WA STATE PTA awarded the International School PTSA the highest membership award next to 100% membership; the platinum award for growing 20% over last years membership. We are the only high school in Bellevue to receive this award. What does this mean? It means we are creating a community that people want to belong to.
As a close-knit choice school, we need to walk the talk and be a community supporting each other and our students. Being a strong PTSA community models to our students what belonging to a school mean; We support each other, we support our students and we support our teachers and staff. For many of you that have decided to not join still. I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and join our community and see what this brings you this year.
Over 495 PTSA parents, teachers and students have joined ISPTSA to date. We need just 80 more members to be at 100%. Check out our membership roll .  If you see a friend listed, ask them why they joined?
Don't see your name? Please join here. Questions?  Contact Joanie Chang, [email protected].
