WEEKLY PROGRESS

On Wednesday, October 4, parents, staff and neighbors gathered for a community meeting at Pima to view final designs for its new school buildings, including the floor plans for the administrative and multi-purpose buildings :

Architects also brought building materials to the meeting, so community members could see and feel the bricks and carpet samples and see paint colors up close. Those materials will soon be on display in Pima's front office.

Also this week,  several changes were made to Hopi's new school design, based on ongoing conversations with the community.
  • A baseball field will be brought back into the field plan.
  • Outdoor learning spaces with tables, chairs and shade has been added.
  • An additional bike path has been added along north end of campus.
Architects created this map to better show pedestrian and bike routes:

All of these images are also available on our website, bond.susd.org.
