Hello BFFs!
There is so much going on at Best Foot Forward and we are excited to share it with you.
Our staff of 14 will serve close to 200 students this year, our biggest year ever!
- We are beginning the 2nd year of our AT&T Aspire grant. With this funding, we have been able to make a tremendous impact on the futures of so many students.
- As part of a grant from Children Services Council, we created an innovative reading program-using magazines! We will provide our students with magazines so they can improve their reading, increase their exposure to current events and different ideas, and broaden their horizons.
- It's October, and many schools will soon have book fairs and costume parades. We will ensure that every one of our students who would like to dress up, will have a costume provided to them if they would like to dress up. We will also make sure that each student can participate in their school's book fairs by purchasing a book to take home and keep as their very own.

Nonprofit of the Year!
It was an honor to be nominated and a big surprise to be named Nonprofit of the Year at the Hats Off Nonprofit Award Ceremony, hosted by Nonprofits First. It has extra special meaning to us because Nonprofits First provided us with our very first grant that allowed us to get Best Foot Forward off the ground. Congratulations to all the amazing nonprofit nominees and winners who are doing incredible things to improve our community!

BACK to SCHOOL 
We started school with our best foot forward this year thanks to all the community support we received. Thank you to Spirit of Giving for supporting all our students, to The Inner Circle Executive Club for hosting an incredible event in support of BFF, and to CenterState Bank for their awesome supply drive.
Our Back to School party was held at Palm Beach State College and we were honored to have the President of PBSC, Ava J. Parker, welcome the kids. We would like to thank guest author Debbie Reed Fischer for signing her book, "This is Not the Abby Show," for each student. We're off to a great start!

BATTLE of the BARTENDERS
Our 8th annual Boca Chamber Festival Days event was the best ever raising over $18,000 for our programs! 300 people came out to support BFF and our wonderful bartenders. The winning bartending team was Dan Davidowitz & Brian Altschuler, The Jersey Boys! We appreciate our sponsors, all who attended, our volunteers and our bartenders for being great sports!

MAX DUDAK on the Run!
Max loves to run. He also loves to help people. For his Bar Mitzvah project, h
e combined the 2 things that he loves to do and raised money for Best Foot Forward at each race he ran. Max presented us with a check for $3,000, making a huge impact on his community. What an incredible young man!

FLORIDA HOME SWEET HOME!
Mark and Kristin Stampini brought their team for a tour of the office and to learn more about our programs and the work we do.They brought with them a mountain of school supplies to ensure that our students start the year well prepared! They have also generously supported us by donating a percentage of homes sold. Thank you!

BLOOMING BASH SPONSOR APPRECIATION
We are very grateful to all our Blooming BASH 2017 sponsors for helping us raise critical funds for our programs. With their support, we were able to increase the number of students served this year! Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar hosted our appreciation event and it was fantastic! Thanks to everyone involved!

The Jim Moran Foundation has supported Best Foot Forward since 2012 and played an integral part in our growth and the expansion of Grounded for Life - College Advocacy Horizons Program, which provides academic assistance to Palm Beach County high school and college students in the child welfare system.
The Jim Moran Foundation was established in 2000 by automotive pioneer Jim Moran to ensure his philanthropy would endure beyond his lifetime. The mission of The Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the youth and families of Florida through the support of innovative programs and opportunities that meet the ever-changing needs of the community.
The Foundation has invested more than $80 million in education, elder care,
family strengthening and youth transitional living initiatives with efforts currently focused in Broward, Palm Beach and Duval counties. We are honored to partner with them and proud of the accomplishments our students have made with their support.
