TCA 150th ANNIVERSARY PARTY RECAP!
|
Our 150th anniversary party was a massive success! On Thursday, September 7th, 2017 over 450 guests joined us at the Steam Whistle Brewery venue, in downtown Toronto and helped us celebrate our remarkable milestone, in grand style.
Those who attended enjoyed some great food catered by Food Dudes and live music by the band Hardly Aged.
Former Mississauga Mayor, Hazel McCallion graced us with her presence and gave a keynote address which was well received. Our Chairman Craig Lesurf also took to the stage and addressed our members, thanking them for their continued support of the industry and promised that TCA will always be there to support members.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our newly redesigned TCA website! Our main goal with the redesigned site is to help our current and prospective clients learn more about our services and benefits as well as find other useful information easily and quickly.
The update includes user friendly navigation with drop down menus, integrated social media buttons for our Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram pages. BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) TRAINING - 1 ONLINE & 3 HANDS-ON COURSES
Building Information Modeling (BIM) Fundamentals
This BIM Fundamentals course teaches a variety of concepts key to the implementation and management of BIM, which include Canadian and international standards, policies and procedures, organizational commitment, legal implications, interoperability of BIM platforms, methods of delivery and BIM execution.
Revit Basic - 4 day
This hands-on workshop covers

Revit Architecture BIM concepts which include: project creation, basic display, components, levels, walls, doors, windows, floor and roof objects, stairs and railings, view properties, family components dimensions, basic annotations, drawing sheets and plotting procedures.
Revit Intermediate - 4 day
Covering
intermediate
Revit Architecture concepts which include: annotation methods, doors and window schedules and site modeling tools (topographical surfaces, structural elements, camera and perspective view creation, rendering lights and materials).
These courses provide a unique opportunity for individuals at Architectural, Engineering & Construction (AEC) sector firms to learn about Building Information Modeling (BIM); implementation, adoption and training.
Course Deliverables
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Deploy BIM applications in integrated project delivery from project conceptualization
- Design and Construction
- Facilities Management
Offered at George Brown College's BIM lab (3D immersive visualization system) - these courses provide the opportunity for practical hands-on training to all participants. Maximum of 25 participants per workshop.

Additional Scope of work:
