Program: Our guest speaker is Pi-Yi Mayo. A lifelong Baytown resident, Pi-Yi Mayo earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Houston. In a career that spans over 30 years, he has extensive experience in elder law, Medicaid planning, special needs trusts, disability law, and veteran’s benefits.
Catered by: Generations Coffee and Sandwich Shop.
Menu: Chicken & Sausage Gumbo with Rice, Side-Potato Salad, Crackers, Assorted Cupcakes, Tea & Water.

Chamber and community updates 

PUBLIC INPUT ON GRAND PARKWAY PROJECT
An Open House meeting to gather public input on the aesthetics plan for the SH 99 Grand Parkway H and I segments will be held on Tuesday, November 14 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Dayton Community Center, 801 S. Cleveland Street. Visit the TXDOT link below for information:

CLEAN UP EVENT SCHEDULED IN LIBERTY
Liberty Woman's Club and the Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a pick-up/pitch in cleanup on Monday, November 13th from 4-6PM. Volunteers will meet at the Vara Faye Martin Daniel Pavilion near Liberty City Hall. Supplies will be provided. Cleanup will be focused on the area around the courthouse and adjacent streets. Refreshments will be provided by Generations Coffee Shop.

UPCOMING COURSES OFFERED AT LEE COLLEGE EDUCATION CENTER
Two free sessions will be held at Lee College Education Center that are open to the public. The National Safety Council Distracted Driving Course is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 8-12 in Room 122. The Art of Conflict Resolution is set for Friday, December 1 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Again, both classes are free and open to the public, including company employees and students. COUNTRY CHRISTMAS 2017
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 28th starting at 6 p.m. in downtown Liberty for the annual Country Christmas Festivities featuring Santa, food, music, wagon rides and fun for everyone. The City of Liberty is sponsoring the parade. If you'd like to place an entry in this year's parade, download the 2017 Country Christmas Parade Form on our website at libertydaytonchamber.com under "Forms & Documents". Country Christmas in Dayton will be held Saturday, December 2 from 4-8:30 p.m.at the Dayton Community Center. All activities will be the same as the Liberty event, but no parade is scheduled.

COUSHATTA BUS TRIP
The next bus trip to Coushatta Resort and Casino is scheduled for Thursday, November 16 . The cost of the trip is $15, coordinated by Eliza Guidry. For reservations call 936.258.5345 or 936.402.0340 (cell).

Employment opportunities are still available with Tubular Enterprises, LLC (713.893.8487) in Anahuac and Crosby. The company is hiring General Laborers for both locations. Forklift, sandblasting, coating or pipe yard experience is a plus. Applications are available at 801 S. Jenkins in Anahuac and 17023 Bohemian Hall Rd. in Crosby, Monday thru Friday, 8AM - 5PM. Pay depends on experience.
