Oil Tasting and Art benefit this Friday

Five years ago, newly widowed Tammie Fox Brinkley (above) says she "did not have any hope" when she began bereavement counseling at Full Circle Grief & Loss Center . Today, she is newly and happily married to Joe Clearo, co-owner with Linda Fuller of Savannah's  LaTerra Natural Oils at 1520 Bull Street.

Celebrate with Tammie and Joe this Friday as they host a tasting of premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.  Appetizers and refreshments will be provided and you can view the exquisite paintings of Hospice Savannah volunteer Mary Ellen McLaughlin . A portion of art and product sales, as well as proceeds from the raffle of a gift basket, will benefit Hospice Savannah.
Opening reception for Larry Levow and students

Hurricane Irma Teamwork

We are glad to be back to normal operations after Hurricane Irma! Debra Anthony Larson, CEO,  says that after last October's evacuation she "never thought we would again be in the situation of having having to take some Hospice House patients to Candler Hospital in Metter, secure Hospice House, and prepare our homecare patients and their families to plan for ether leaving Savannah or staying with caution. We leaned a lot from our Matthew experience and  made a number or improvements to our emergency preparedness plan which  definitely paid off." Thanks to everyone for their outstanding teamwork. Pictured are Dallas, Willie and Roland, three of our wonderful certified nursing assistants who joined Debra in Metter.
