Generosity Overflows!
Students raise hundreds for Harvey Relief

It is with great pride that we announce that our students raised nearly $900 for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston, Texas.

The students donated $1 or $2 each week to dress down in September, and now, we can help students at Mayde Creek Junior High.

The funds will directly help individual students with basic needs like socks, underwear, t-shirts, pants, etc. We could not possibly be prouder of our wonderful students and their generous hearts!

After school art program

The Family Art Night included a simple project that looked at Andy Warhol and Pop Art! Students and their families created neon portraits using the facial features of different students to create a one of a kind portrait. They then added "extras" such as bright red lips, puffy hair bows, or funky mustaches!

Cleveland Metro Parks Zoo

Our Ohio Report Card
Congrats to our students and staff on their success!

The 2017 Ohio Report Cards were released on September 14th. We still have areas to improve, but we saw growth across the spectrum of categories.

Our overall, value-added score was once again an "A." This means that our students made more than a year's growth in their various subjects. What was most exciting was our "Progress" score, which went from a "B" to an "A" this school year!

We are so proud of our students, our teachers, and our support staff for their hard work! Keep it up team!

Concept Parent/Family Network
Writing and sharing our stories

We have gotten to know so many wonderful and supportive parents and families throughout our many schools. We know that your involvement in your child's life is a strong predictor of academic success.

As we travel throughout the states we hear and read so many powerful stories from families just like yours; stories of the opportunities afforded their children because of a Concept classroom, event, or program. And we want to hear your stories and let you know how much YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Concept will be visiting our school on October 12th from 3:30-4:30 pm to meet with you and encourage you to write the story of how your child is more successful because of the Concept experience. If you are interested in participating email Ms. Jack at [email protected]

Together we can share the stories of our success and build an even stronger Concept Parent/Family Network.

If you have any questions, you can contact Andy Flaherty directly at [email protected]

In the News!
HSADMS makes headlines

Thursday, September 21st was the International Day of Peace! Across the world, peoples of all cultures come together for different activities, including the Pinwheels for Peace Project. The KG-5th grade students took a break from projects in art class to talk about what peace is and how we can be kind to others to stop violence. They created hundreds of beautiful "Pinwheels of Peace to decorate the front lawn of the school." Channel 19 news featured Ms. Anderson and her students in a segment on the morning news. Here's a link to the interview and story: Channel 19 News Story
