It's inspirational to welcome new energy and expertise to our Board of Directors and Advisors!


Welcome
Marilyn Torres and Donna Wray ! Marilyn is Senior Director, Visitor Experience at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and an active Tacony Creek Park user. Donna is Vice President, Digital & Multichannel Marketing at TGaS Advisors. She lives in Wyncote near Rock Creek and has hands-on TTF buffer planting and clean-up experience.

Our Board of Advisors was established as an objective of our 2013 Strategic Plan. Led by Laura Craig and Stefanie Kroll, the Board will gain even more expertise with the addition of Lara Roman and Emily Saich! Lara is a Philadelphia Field Station, US Forest Service Research Ecologist. She and her family enjoy the Tookany Creek near their home in Wyncote. 
Emily is the Director of Museum Services with Universal Services Associates, Inc. She lives in Philadelphia and was a valuable resource in our Creekmobile planning.

Join Wyncote Audubon for an autumn bird walk! S ee a few of our summer resident birds that have not yet left for their wintering grounds. We also expect to see some fall migrants stopping over on their southward journey. Meet at Park entrance at the corner of High School Rd & Montgomery Ave. The park is a short walk from the Elkins Park SEPTA Regional Rail Station and the Route 28 bus.

Help care for the only creek in the TTF Watershed that you can still see! We need experienced tree-planters and volunteers to clear invasives

The Chestnut Hill Conservancy and  Friends of the Wissahickon invite you to this Open Space Showcase.  Thousands of acres of open space in our area are protected by conservation easements held by land trusts. Thousands more are threatened. 

Hear how conservation organizations are protecting open space for our future, and how you can protect valued open spaces in Philadelphia watersheds. P resentations by Chestnut Hill Conservancy, Erdenheim Farm, Friends of the Wissahickon, Natural Lands Trust, Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, Whitemarsh Foundation, and Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, followed by Q & A. Light refreshments.  Free and open to the public but registration is requested.
