Join Us for the 33rd Annual Apple Harvest Day!
Saturday, October 7th, 9am-4pm
Downtown Dover
Apple Harvest Day is a day-long family event, featuring 400 crafters, great food, live entertainment, and more. The event was first held in 1985 and now draws more than 50,000 people to the City of Dover's downtown, making it one of the most popular regional festivals.

The Bone Bridge
October 5th-8th
Johnson Theatre, Paul Creative Arts Center, Durham
Now open in the Johnson Theatre! The Bone Bridge, by Trina Davies. The winner of the 2017 Woodward International Playwriting prize, this play, by turns searing and morbidly funny, tells how a handful of Bosnians, victims and perpetrators alike, try to mend their lives in the aftermath of the genocide and associated atrocities. What happens when two Bosnians, taking refuge years later in Canada, spot a concentration camp guard and torturer in the line at Home Depot? What happens when a Muslim judge, having spent terrible years in a concentration camp, makes her weary way home to discover that one of her former secretaries is now living in her apartment? How would you like to have tea served to you on your own grandmother's tea set by an intruder who has, in your forced absence, moved into your home? The play invites us to ponder whether it is possible to mend broken cups, broken bridges, and broken lives.

Kara wanted to find a way to provide a platform for young people to express themselves, follow their dreams, and give back to their communities.

5th Annual Night at the Museum
Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th, 10am-3pm
Pine Hill Cemetery, 131 Central Avenue, Dover
In two dozen scenes, laid out all over Pine Hill Cemetery, history will come to life in October during the 90-minute escorted tours of this burial ground that dates from 1731. More than 40 noted, nefarious, or notorious Dover citizens will come to life beside their headstones, regaling visitors with tales of mirth, woe, and amazement! Among the residents lifting their voices in the cemetery will be sea captains, business leaders, soldiers, politicians, ministers, lost lovers, and even a famous opera singer! Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite by clicking here. Or, purchase tickets at the Museum Wednesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for students (ages 12 to 21) and $5 for children under 12. This is a family-friendly tour, suitable for all ages.

Colonial Militia Muster & Market Fair
Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th, 10am-4pm
Colonel Paul Wentworth House, Water Street, Rollinsford
Travel back in time to the American Revolution at the historic Colonel Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford, NH.
The sights and sounds of the Revolutionary era will come to life at a colonial market fair with 18th century craftspeople and artisans at work, while the militia gathers to train in preparation for joining General Washington's forces against the British. At this two-day living history encampment, artisans in period attire will demonstrate crafts such as joinery, coopering, printing, and gun smithing, along with hearth cooking and other aspects of everyday life in the 18th century. At the same time, the militia men will perform musket firings and military drills, display and explain their equipment, and raise a Liberty Pole and flag as they muster to join General Washington's army for the next campaign. The circa 1701 Wentworth House is located on Water Street in Rollinsford, and is maintained by the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH) as an educational and cultural center. The Capital Crime of Witchcraft
