Devotional
Psalm 10

The events of this past weekend once again show how relevant these Psalms are for us today. Our passage begins by  clamoring to God, asking,
"Where are you? Why are  you not acting on our  behalf?" But in verse 14  we see a radical change in  tone, from supplication to  affirmation of God's  faithfulness.
- How do you explain David's radical change between verse 13 and verse 14?
- Does he believe in a pipe dream? Is he crazy?
- What leaps of faith have you had to take in order to believe in a good and loving God?

PRAYER FOR TODAY

O God, you made us in your own image
and redeemed us  through Jesus your Son:
Look with compassion on the whole human family;
take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts;
break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love;
and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
