Sunset Terrace Update
68th Street to 70th Street
Due to the weather, concrete pouring has been delayed this past week. The Contractor will pour driveways and intersections the week of November 13th. Once this is complete, they will finish grading and seed.
Intersection Closure
The intersection at Sunset Terrace and 68th Street will be closed starting Monday October 30, 2017 until November 13, 2017. 
2017 Sidewalk Improvement Project
The Contractor will finish concrete work on 64th Street starting the week of November 13th.  Once concrete is complete, they will grade the remaining areas.

University Avenue Redesign Update
The concept design process for the University Avenue Redesign started on July 10th with a presentation from Bolton and Menk. Mayor Willits appointed over 50 stakeholders to serve on the complete streets advisory committee and taskforce committee for this project at the July 17th council meeting.The complete streets advisory committee has met three times.The meeting notes are located on our projects page. On our website is the proposed timeline including the upcoming meeting dates for this project. For updates on this project and other infrastructure projects and events, sign up for our e-newsletter and watch our social media accounts. Get Involved and Help Shape the Future of Windsor Heights
Volunteer for a Board, Commission or Committee: The Mayor and City Council hope you will help continue to make Windsor Heights a great community to live, work and play. There are several volunteer opportunities if you are looking to become more involved within the community. There are three openings on the Planning and Zoning Commission, one Development Committee, one opening on Board of Adjustment, one Public Safety Committee and one Public Works Committee. We are always looking for volunteers for special events. Contact us if you have any questions on how you can get involved in Windsor Heights. Applications are due December 1, 2017 and can be submitted in person at City Hall or email to Jessica Vogel at [email protected].  
Save the Date-City News Hour January 8th
The City News Hour for January 8, 2018 is at 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Windsor Heights Community Center will be the University Avenue redesign concepts. From 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., will be an interactive presentation on the concept designs for University Avenue. Attendees will be able to do instant polling and provide immediate input on the design amenities and roadway concepts. This concept is the initial concept.  The final concept will be brought back to council in March for approval.  From 6:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m., we will have a question and answer session. During the month of January, we will have the survey online for you to take if you cannot make the city news hour. We are looking forward to your input on the project.
