With the season now in full swing, the Varsity Hyacks are looking for help in a number of areas off the field. The most pressing need is for additional game night staff. HYACKS WIN 3rd STRAIGHT

A suffocating defensive performance paved the way for a 20-14 win at Vancouver College. The defensive line of Isaiah James, Yanni Angelopoulos, Evan Nolli and Vishaan Narayan turned in its best effort of the season. For the second straight game, the Hyacks secondary recorded 3 interceptions, with Sebastien Reid again coming away with a pair and Taran Birdi pulling down the other.

Offensively, QB Kinsale Philip turned in his second 3-TD passing game of the season. Once again the scoring began with a 50 yard TD pass to Finn Stark. Late in the half Matthew Lalim scored on a 22 yard reception on 4th down, before Sammy Sidhu hauled in a scoring pass with 10 seconds left in the first half.
The Hyacks are now 4-1 overall, 2-0 in league play, and play a 3rd straight road game on Saturday, when they visit Seaquam. This will be the first meeting at the varsity level between these two programs. The team will be meeting at Mercer Stadium at 9 am on Saturday.

JV's REMAIN UNBEATEN

The JVs continue to improve with a lopsided 47-6 win over Carson Graham at Mercer Stadium last Thursday. Dominic Racher scored his first TD of the season to open the scoring for the Hyacks, before Greyson Planinsic scored his first of 3 TDs on the evening. Kirk Bothwell caught a TD pass from Andros Dancey, who also added a rushing TD. Freshman RB, Frederick Asamoah also scored his first TD as a Hyack. Matthew Drake and Evan Rees showed their versatility on both sides of the ball, playing multiple positions, while Anekin Gladstone continues to show improvement along the offensive line.
The JVs are back on the road on Thursday when they play at Mission at 3:15pm

YOUTH FOOTBALL

JR BANTAM:
The Hyacks continued their toughest portion of the regular season, falling at South Delta on Sunday. Despite the loss, Tyler Baker was disruptive in the opposition backfield and Ethan Bresser was all over the field, blocking, catching, and tackling. Teagan Barre made plays in the pocket while under constant pressure, and Robert Preda was very good in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

PEE WEE:
The Pee Wees continue to show improvement, despite losing to Cloverdale this week. Late in the 1st half, a long run by Benicio Hageleit set up a 1 yard TD plunge by Gregory Palmer. Andrew Vanden Driessen was again very good defensively.

ATOM:
The Atoms bounced back with a decisive 32-14 win over a very good Cloverdale team. A much improved performance by the offensive line keyed the win: Noah Perera, Jason Rithaler, Guido Catania and Zafar Hassanali took care of business on the inside. Mateo McDonell also stood out blocking & Matias Uppal took advantage of opportunities on defense. Nathan Hillmann caught a TD pass, breaking a number of tackles on the way to the endzone.

TYKE FLAG:
Hyacks Orange took home another victory after defeating South Delta 24-12, in Coquitlam.  Austin Zhang opened up the scoring with a 30 yard TD. Miguel Perez also scored and Christhony Dela Cruz added a pair of TD's. Sean Inglis, Liam Uppal and Arryan Jhutee were solid on defense.
