"Writers of Peace"
by Kathryn Gallagher
Writers of peace everywhere
Beyond the cataracts of confusion
Write from the clear consciousness
Of descendants of a loving, forgiving,
Omnipresent, all-merciful god.
We, all of us, are created in the image
And likeness of god, of good, of gentleness.
Ultimately, the pale power of toxicity
Is to destroy itself in shame
The loving power of god is to create
To nurture, to enlighten, to imbue
With Divine light
Divine growth
And earthly sharing
And harmony
And strength.
