The KCMBF Nominating Committee, consisting of Leah Mason (Committee Chair), Jay Simpson, Nikki Cannezzaro, Jill Katz, and James R. Hobbs, announced the slate for the 2018 Board of Directors. The slate will be considered for election at the Foundation Annual  Meeting on November 14, 2017.  Nominees to the Board Are:

It is with great sadness that we inform our members of the passing of our Past President Arthur H. ("Art") Stoup.     

 

Art was a truly great lawyer and a truly great gentleman.    Art lived his entire life in Kansas City, save for the years he served our nation in World War II.  Following war's end, Art attended Kansas City University, where he obtained his Bachelors degree and a Law degree in 1950.  Thereafter Art practiced law for 67 years, all the way up to his passing at age 92.  

 

Art was President of KCMBA and also of The Missouri Bar, and he served as a Trustee of the Law Foundation at UMKC.   He was a true lawyers' lawyer and he was respected and loved by all, while at the same time he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.    

 

There will be a Celebration of Art's Life at UMKC Law School at 3:00 p.m. on November 3.
