Come to our Parksville store and hear author Keith Ogilvie reading from his new book, The Spitfire Luck of Skeets Ogilvie.

Thursday, November 23rd 7pm

Rejected by the Royal Canadian Air Force in the summer of 1939, Keith "Skeets" Ogilvie joined the British Royal Air Force instead. A week later he was on a boat to England and a future he could not have imagined.

Despondent and bitter, he never got the chance to explore his artistic bent, and seven short years later, on the anniversary of this foreshortened leave, he died on the Plains of Abraham.
