Bring your furry family members and join us for a celebration of the Feast of St. Francis and our annual Blessing of the Animals THIS SATURDAY at 10 a.m.! All family members are welcome!

For the fourth year, we are conducting a Pet Food Drive. The Pet Food Drive is in collaboration with the Pet Food Bank of Austin and Travis County. Dry and canned dog and cat food and other pet supplies, as well as cash donations, are welcome. In addition to local assistance, the Pet Food Bank is also helping families affected by Hurricane Harvey. Click here to review their wish list.

For good order on the ark, please protect small animals in a carrier or cage.
Dogs, please keep your people close to you on a leash! 

In God's Image: Faith Formation for Children 
with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Last month St. Austin began a new Faith Formation offering for children and youth of all ages and abilities with special education needs. Join Deacon Dan and his wife Joanne Wright on Sunday mornings in the St. Vincent de Paul Room at 10-11:15 a.m. for "In God's Image: Faith Formation for Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities."  For more information please email Deacon Dan or Tricia Salcher.

Oct. 15: What Is Catholic Social Teaching? A talk about Catholic social teaching with Pat & Steve Macy and Nacho Gallardo. Together we will wrestle over the questions of where Catholic social teaching comes from, and how it is a part of scripture, liturgy, and our daily lives.

Come experience and savor chocolate at its best!
 
Learn how chocolate is harvested, who does it, and why buying Fair Trade is important for everyone. Taste homemade desserts and vote for your favorite in our Chocolate Bake-Off. Entertainment will be provided for the enjoyment of all, and Fair Trade chocolate will be for sale.
 
Sign up to make a dessert for our Chocolate Bake-Off using Fair Trade chocolate! Volunteers are also needed to help the day of. Contact Pat Macy for more information or to volunteer.
St. Austin City Lights

We are excited to celebrate the centennial of our School at our annual fundraiser, City Lights. The evening is truly a FUNdraiser with drinks, dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction, which makes for an exciting night! So many fun memories with parents, parishioners, friends and alumni are made each year.

The generous donations and funds raised at City Lights enable our school to keep fees affordable, to advance our school programs, to ensure socio-economic diversity and continue our century-old tradition of excellence into the future. Tickets are available now at www.staustinschool.org.
