Buds Enjoy Small Group Activities
Buds Aleph students are enjoying small group activity time. In one group, students are developing fine motor skills with the guidance of their teacher. In another group, as a part of their learning about Parshat Noach, the students are creating colors using shaving cream and paints. The students are having a blast during this multi-sensory experience as they feel and squeeze their colorful, fluffy creations.

Kindergarten Creates "Guess My Day" Game
This week each child in K Bet created their own "Guess My Day" game (similar to Guess Who). The game includes a hand-made artistic representation of each Day of Creation and Shabbat. The teachers took photographs of the children with props for each Day of Creation to make the game board. As they play, students ask questions about what Hashem created each day in order to guess their partner's day! The process of making the game helped the children reinforce their understanding of what was created on each day and playing the game reviews it in a fun, hands-on way.

We are pleased to let you know that we have established a partnership with Jewish Family and Children's Services of Northern New Jersey. Through this partnership, we will be able to offer additional programming to parents and students such as workshops and support groups, and additional services, such as consultation and referral.
JFCS works with people across the lifespan, with a particular expertise in issues pertaining to families and children. On occasion, we may ask JFCS's Jewish Community Social Worker, Paula Rozner, LSW, to observe in a classroom or consult with a teacher. If we ever feel it would be beneficial for Paula to speak directly with a student, we would request your written permission in advance.

Bat Mitzvah Project Benefitting Renewal
Dear Yeshivat Noam, For my Bat Mitzvah project I am raising money for Renewal, a Jewish organization that helps people with kidney problems find kidney donors. I chose this particular organization because my father found a kidney donor in only three days after meeting with them. Renewal found an amazing man whose kidney was a great match for my dad. We were so grateful for this miracle. The surgery was a success, but unfortunately my dad passed away shortly after due to complications following the surgery. The money raised will be used to transport the donors if they live far away. It's also used to help promote awareness for kidney donation. Kidney donation saves lives and it is a huge mitzvah!
Please click here to donate to this worthy cause that has such a special place in my heart. This mitzvah is in honor and memory of my dad, Jordan Levy, z''l. Thank you!
Sincerely, Mattea Levy

Bat Mitzvah Project Collecting Children's Books for Houston
Hi, my name is Sara Mirwis. I was born in Houston, Texas. I moved with my family to Teaneck 5 years ago (when my older siblings were headed to Yeshiva University). My family lived in Houston for 17 years. We lived in the Young Israel neighborhood. My dad still works there and commutes every week. I am SO SO SAD because of the hurricane. So many people and friends I know have been flooded and have lost all of their things : (
I decided that for my Bat Mitzvah I will collect as many children's books as possible and send them with my dad each week to the different neighborhoods and schools. That way all of the children of Houston can have books to read (and hopefully also keep them a little distracted from the sadness around them).
If you can donate a new or like new children's book you can help me with this project.
My mom said she can pick up from anyone's home if they need (her cell: 713-545-3684). OR, you can drop it on our front porch as well (1270 Fayette Street).
Thank you for reading this and thank you if you are able to help the children in Houston.
