Drug Take Back Day: 1,222.5 pounds of Rx drugs collected!
Serving as a reminder to get rid of unneeded medication, Stark County's Drug Take Back Day collected 1,222.5 pounds of prescription medication from 16 countywide locations.

Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery, Drug Free Stark County, the Opiate Task Force of Stark County and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Stark County Police Chiefs’ Association, are pleased to sponsor this collection day for Stark County residents to dispose of their expired, unused or unwanted prescription medications safely.

Did you know that Stark County leads the state with 17 permanent drug collection boxes? Located at police departments across the county, these boxes are accessible 24/7 and are free of charge.

System partners, service providers and the general public are invited to join Vivian H. Jackson, Ph.D., LICSW, Adjunct Assistant Professor, National Center for Cultural Competence, Georgetown University, for training opportunities on October 19, 2017 that will focus on delivering culturally competent care to our Stark County community.

Located at Walsh University, Barrette Center; 2020 East Maple Street, North Canton, OH 44721. There is no cost to attend. Continuing education credits pending. Limited space. Please register by October 10, 2017.
