Encountering Innovation Week

Department of Defense Technology Scouts Encountering Innovation Week offers DoD Tech Scouts a rare opportunity to discover your innovation and to help you discover their needs.
  • They will seek innovations for all nine areas of Combatant Commands.
  • They will also identify innovations that might be of interest to non-defense agencies such as NASA.
  • Connect with Tech Scouts, innovators, and resource partners over light refreshments.
  • Evening Networking Tuesday, October 24 - Thursday, October 26
Encountering Innovation Week provides:
  • Innovators the opportunity to present and showcase their technology.
  • Federal government scouts will listen to pitches, examine poster board displays, discuss government needs during Forum Day, and chat with innovators during Evening Networking Events.
  • Scouts from the Department of Defense hope to find innovative solutions to immediate needs. They also seek a broader range of innovations that will resolve operational challenges or save costs.

Apply to pitch or display and register to attend Encountering Innovation Week to learn more about contracting opportunities, make key connections, and show your technology.

NEDED SBIR/STTR Matching Funds

The  Nebraska Department of Economic Development offers an SBIR/STTR matching grant program. They provide a 65%, up to $100,000, match to Nebraska recipients of Phase I and Phase II awards. They also offer a $5,000 Phase 0 Planning grant to Nebraska businesses applying for open SBIR or STTR solicitations. This grant can help pay for a grant writer, technical review, or salaries directly related to writing the proposal.
