ACCSP Releases Integrated Reporting Workshop Final Report
ACCSP
Back in May, ACCSP brought together its Partners for an Integrated Fisheries Reporting (IFR) Workshop . The purpose of the workshop was to initiate development of the business rules needed to  create an ACCSP standard for IFR  and to discuss how these rules might be incorporated into SAFIS.

Results of the workshop are summarized in the Integrated Fishery Reporting Workshop Report, now available for download. The report summarizes the issues raised with regards to integrating the trip, dealer, biological sampling, and observer modules, as well as potential future modules. It concludes with participants'recommendations for achieving IFR in the SAFIS redesign.
ACCSP is working with its partners to redesign its Standard Atlantic Fisheries Information System (SAFIS). A major component of the redesign will be the implementation of integrated fisheries reporting (IFR). By using a single, unique trip identifier to link together all reports from a given trip, IFR offers the opportunity to eliminate duplicative data collections, reduce reporting errors, and allow for more timely, accurate data.
