College Christmas Care Packages
November 12 and 19

We are setting up in the lobby for the next two Sundays, collecting snacks and encouraging handwritten notes for our BCUMC college students.

These Christmas Care Packages let our kids know that we are thinking of them and wishing them well during a time of studying for college exams and getting projects due, right before they come home for Christmas. It is a pleasant surprise for each of them to receive at a stressful time.
The boxes are not very big…. so maybe quality over quantity is key.

Ideas include:
Granola bars
Cheese and crackers
Peanut butter and crackers
Nuts
Trail Mix
Hot Chocolate
$5 Starbucks gift cards
Other gift cards
Fruit snacks
Gum…. Etc.

There will be note card paper available to write a personalize short note to student (s) to encourage them and wish them well during their finals…. And hope to see them at Bear Creek at Christmas time.

Parents, we really need updated addresses for each of the students in order to send the boxes.

BCUMC Youth Serve CUE
What a feast! The youth of Bear Creek went all out on Wednesday night as they served the Camp Unity Community.

The main dish was home-made Mac and Cheese.  But we didn’t stop there! The youth produced 5 wonderful varieties of Mac and Cheese, including a sizzling “pepper jack” version! I mean this stuff was amazing!  Also included in the meal were ham, green beans, asparagus, brownies, and ice cream!

The youth had a great time and they are thankful to Kristina, Kevin, Russ, Heather, and Pastor Brook for helping!

Next week the choir is to serve!
