From the Pastor

We are the church where "people are lifted up and not torn down!"

As we continue our generosity challenge this fall here at St. Mark's, I want to lift up one of the programs your generosity helps make possible.  Through your faithfulness in giving financially and serving as volunteers we have helped Project Transformation in Tennessee lift up churches, children, and college students in amazing ways over the past five years.

40 Days of Generosity
Generosity Changes Lives!

In fact, it already has. God has been generous to you with the ultimate gift - love, mercy, forgiveness, and everlasting hope through Jesus Christ! You are invited to respond to this amazing generosity through a generosity challenge: 40 Days of Generosity. CLICK HERE to learn more about the Generosity Challenge! May your relationship with Christ be built up through this challenge to generosity.

Hospitality Workshop

Please plan on attending St. Mark's Hospitality Workshop Sunday, October 15 at 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  The program will include fun skits performed by our members and youth.  Our Church Council president, Sean Gilliland, will share lots of great tips and tools for us to maximize our hospitality potential and show our guests how important they are to us!

We are quite sure you will find this year's workshop entertaining and helpful - St. Mark's Inviting Ministries Committee.

Pumpkin Patch News !

It's that time of year... time for football, bonfires, changing leaves... and pumpkins!

You can now sign up for the Pumpkin Patch on-line.  CLICK HERE to find the perfect spot!

Our batch of pumpkins will be arriving at St. Mark's on Sunday, Oct. 8th at 12:30.  We want to invite everyone to bring their work gloves, buckets, wheel barrows and muscles to help us unload what we hope will be a successful new venture for us.  We hope our pumpkin patch will welcome in the community - a sea of orange and a place for pictures and fun.  All proceeds from the sale of the pumpkins will benefit the youth ministries.

Glee Ministry In Need of Volunteers We have been blessed for the past few years to have a wonderful ministry for children with special needs, the "GLEE" Room, which stands for God Loves Everyone Equally.  In order for our church to continue responding to this need and ministering to these precious families, a few more willing servants are needed during Sunday school and/or one worship service. If you would be willing to consider serving in this ministry, contact Rev. Touchton.
