HSD's New Department of Public Safety |
|
This school year, Hillsboro School District is pleased to announce the creation of a
Department of Public Safety, led by our very own Chief of Police, Alex Oh. Last spring, District staff worked through the Smarter School Spending protocol to identify potential cost savings and discussed the idea of bringing our after-hours security service in-house. After finding that the move would save money, Executive Director of Safety and Operations Casey Waletich explored the value-add of having the internal security staff supervised by a sworn police officer, resulting in Oh's hiring.

Facilitron to Replace All Facility Reservation Systems |
|
In an effort to simplify room reservations, the district has moved to
Facilitron, a new facility reservation system. Google Form, Resource Scheduler and SchoolDude will no longer be used for booking rooms at the administration building and all previously approved requests through Resource Scheduler or SchoolDude have been added to this new system. Transitioning to Facilitron for other district buildings will take place gradually over the course of the year. Your login is the same login that you currently use for your district account. Click
here for step by step instructions on how to make a reservation.
