115 15th Ave E Suite 100
Seattle, WA 98112
Board & Vellum is a design firm on 15th Avenue East, offering integrated architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture services. Not only does having in-house integrated services lead to better design, but it helps your project move more smoothly from great idea to great finished product.
We love tackling complex and precisely-detailed projects large and small: retail shops & cafés, commercial offices, multi-family projects, and custom-designed single-family residences. Our projects benefit from clear communication, a collaborative design approach, and excellent project management.
As Board & Vellum has grown, it has been our mission to be our client's advocate throughout the design and construction phases. Putting ourselves in your shoes goes a long way towards humanizing and clarifying the entire process.
We are always excited to hear about your next project idea. And, we hope you'll bring your business to some of the local shops we helped bring to life, such as
Ada's Technical Books & Café, Laughing Buddha, and Oasis Tea Zone Capitol Hill.

Hilloween Circus and Trick or Treat
Last weekend, we welcomed costumed guests to the
Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce's 8th annual Hilloween carnival "under the big top" featuring circus-themed activities, games, and performances. Everyone had a blast, as can be seen in the smiles captured in all of the
photos from the afternoon (watch out for the scary clown!).
The carnival concluded with a performance by the Chaotic Marching Corps Band who led the kids in a costume parade and kicked-off the trick-or-treat on Broadway, Pike and Pine. And let's not forget the spook-tacular haunted lab at 1st Security Bank!
Special thanks to the Broadway BIA and merchants along Broadway, Pike and Pine - we could not pull off this amazing family friendly event year after year without you! Hilloween is always FREE and open to all thanks to the generosity of our sponsors:

Washington at War:
The Evergreen State in WWI
1:30pm November 14
Rainier Chapter House
800 E Roy Street
One-hundred years ago in 1917, the US entered The Great War to fight alongside our European allies. But Washington's homefront experience began long before the country entered the war, and continued afterward.
Led by historian Lorraine McConaghy, the program begins with an illustrated introduction to the war's themes before offering a "Readers' Theater:" a script that is read aloud together, allowing participants to speak the history they are discovering.
Learn about and discuss this dramatic period of immigration, wartime industrialization, women's rights, social change, radical labor, epidemic disease, and worldwide turmoil.

This talk is presented by Humanities Washington and the Washington State Historical Society in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of America's involvement in WWI.

We are able to continue that work because of the artists, donors, and public supporters who continue to build thriving creative communities where we can bear witness, challenge, and celebrate - together.
