WomenConnecting - Advent: Finding Light in the Deepening Darkness
on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. As we approach the shorter days and the upcoming holidays, how do we see and accept God's light that radiates within us. We sense the end of something and the beginnings of something new. How do we make this real in ourselves and our families as we prepare for the winter season?
Contact: Joanne Conway at [email protected]. Come and share with as we explore this challenge. The church is located at 8000 St. Martin's Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19118.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont -
First Friday Observances.
As is our Parish custom, we will, this Friday as every First Friday of the month, mark the day with special observances of devotion to our Lord, really present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, and, in keeping with ancient custom, offer a guided meditation to the "theme of the month" which in October is the Holy Rosary.
This month we will offer a how-to orientation to the practice of praying the Rosary along with some historical comment on the practice - especially from an Anglican perspective.

Clergy
Priest-in-Charge - St. Stephen's, Norwood
. St. Stephen's is a transformational church that celebrates the liturgy in a relaxed and casual style. We are an inclusive community that values and fosters individual incremental growth into the potential that God has planned for us.
The weekly message/sermon is an integral part of who we are in Christ and recharges our spiritual vitality inspiring us to actions we can practice and take with us into the communities we serve.
Development of lay leadership is fundamental to our identity.
Our Priest-in-Charge can provide leadership in identifying and mediating potential differences that could impact our sense of well being and obstruct the achievement of our mission.
We are looking for someone to provide a weekly message and attitude that will promote a call to action for our very diverse congregation and inspire the parish to fulfill the aspirations of our mission prayer:
For the communities we serve give us generous hearts, oh Lord, that our inviting and including may create the spiritual home so many are looking for. Let us be that family of worship and mission where all can grow spiritually and serve joyfully in Christ's name. Amen.
The Application Process: All interested applicants can apply to the Pennsylvania diocese or send your resume and salary requirements to
[email protected]
. We are accepting applications until November 20, 2017.

Children, Youth, and Families Ministry Coordinator
-
Saint Paul's Church, Chestnut Hill
, Philadelphia, PA
.
The CYF (Children, Youth, and Families) Ministry Coordinator is a full-time, established position with benefits (insurance, and pension in year 2), and an efficiency apartment on campus if desired.
Full-time staff include the Rector, Administrator, Music Director, and Capital Campaign Facilitator.
At Saint Paul's we believe that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. Godly Play is a Montessori approach to faith stories, gaining for participants religious language, and enhancing their spiritual experiences through wonder and play (which is children's work).
Youth engage in a lifelong journey of questioning, exploring, and discovering together. Confirmation, Rite 13, service to others, and fellowship all offer an arena to find support and grace in their encounter with each other and God.
The CYF Ministry Coordinator is accountable to the Rector, manages budget responsibilities, and works collegially with other staff, volunteers, teachers, youth group advisors, and parents.
