Principal Notes

Dear Parents,

I've been worrying over the last week about what we can do for Puerto Rico to help with the humanitarian crisis that is taking place there.  Sitting in my warm and dry home I feel selfish for not doing something yet I honestly did not know what to do.  I shared my frustration with the office staff and together we thought of trying to involve all of the staff in raising funds for Puerto Rico.

So next Monday, October 9, the teachers and staff are going to hold a bake sale.  All items at the bake sale will be one dollar.  The office staff will hold their bake sale in the courtyard for parents who attend assembly. The teachers will hold their bake sales in the classroom.   All proceeds from our bake sale will go to Catholic Charities USA for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. If our little bake sale helps someone in Puerto Rico who has lost everything then we'll be happy to have done something.

On another note;  Fall Festival sign ups begin tomorrow, Tuesday, October 3 at 9 pm.  Please see the flyer regarding sign up information.  You can go to   www.signupgenius.com to sign up for your Fall Festival hours.  Scroll to the bottom to "Find a Sign Up," and enter [email protected]  If you try to log in before 9 pm you may see a message telling you that you need an access code. At 9 pm that message will be gone.  Remember, with the shorter festival this year, you no longer need to volunteer for six hours, you only need to sign up for four hours.  We all appreciate how much our parents do to support the school.

Please pray for and work for peace in our world.
Jennifer
