Upcoming Event - itSMF Members & Sponsors Appreciation Night

We are bringing the last event of the year to all our members as a Members and Sponsors Night event to enjoy and interact with one another over finger food and some fine wines. This will be a free admission event specially to reward the members for their support of the chapter and her activities as well as to thank our sponsors for their strong support in the last one year.
We will also be taking this opportunity to share with everyone our plans for 2018 onward and our council members will also be on-site to answer any questions.

News Update:

AXELOS has announced plans to update the world's most widely-adopted framework for service management.

The development of the updated framework will take place in 2018. While building on the established core of best practice in the existing ITIL guidance, the update will offer new and explicit practical content focusing on the optimum integration of ITIL with complementary practices, such as DevOps, Agile and Lean. itSMF International signed a MoU with International Foundation for Digital Competences (IFDC) Regarding VeriSM™

On October 11th itSMF International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Foundation for Digital Competences (iFDC) on VeriSM™ (Value-driven, Evolving, Responsive, Integrated, Service Management) and areas of cooperation providing mutual benefits for the two organizations. Launch of VeriSM™ by International Foundation for Digital Competences (IFDC) in December 2017

VeriSM™ is a service management approach from the organizational level, looking at the end to end view rather than focusing on a single department. Based around the VeriSM™ model, it shows organizations how they can adopt a range of management practices in a flexible way to deliver the right product or service at the right time to their consumers. Event Wrap - i tSMF Sep Seminar:" Vulnerability Management in the Elastic Cloud"

This session discussed the risk exposure posed by h ighly automated Next Generation Datacentres, Hybrid Datacentres and Cloud computing, and how these elastic environments becomes problematic since risk assessment techniques and technologies need to adapt to the technical changes brought on by these new operational models.


Event Wrap - i tSMF Aug Seminar:"Enhance IT Service Design with Lean & Design Thinking"  

The session introduced the Design thinking as way of understanding the customers' perspective of the IT service and improve the process so as to satisfy (or better still)  delight the customers. When combined together with  Lean IT, we can analyse and remove the waste in our service design so as to make them as streamlined, optimised and  cost-competitive  as possible.

Our July seminar "Understanding DevOps and Service Transition, a  challenging topic was very well received and invoked a lot of discussion among the attendees and panelists alike. The presenter demonstrated what DevOps and Service Transition are and how alignment can be achieved. We appreciate your questions and hope that you learnt something insightful.
