Yitzhak Rabin Exhibit - A Reflection on Gun Violence
Exhibit posted in Classroom 9 

Ayelet Levi, our shlicha, is bringing The Yitzchak Rabin memorial exhibit to Adat Shalom. Torah School students will discuss Rabin's life and his struggle for peace, learn about his assassination and his legacy for peace in the Middle East. We encourage congregants of all ages to stop by the exhibit, available until 11:30 AM.

with Sue Dorfman (Kripalu yoga instructor)

Friday, November 10th from 8:30-10:00 AM 
with Hazzan Rabbi Rachel (Hatha yoga instructor) 
 
In the season of gratitude (Thanksgiving) and light (Chanukah), we will explore these themes through the lens of  yoga, with special attention to physical alignment and ease of movement. Come dressed for movement and bring a yoga mat -- all other props provided.  All yoga levels welcome - please notify us in advance of any injuries. 

Suggested donation for members: $5 per class to the Adat Shalom Social Action Fund.  Fee for visitors and friends: $10 per class.

Are you worried about your parent(s) or other relative(s)? Are they having trouble with driving? Are you concerned about their living situation? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Don't know where to turn? Join us for emotional and spiritual support and the opportunity to share your concerns, and learn from others who are experiencing similar challenges. 
 
These are drop-in sessions; you need not have attended before.

Responding to Anti-Semitism, White Supremacy, and Xenophobia in our Schools at  7:00 PM at the Bender JCC in Rockville (6125 Montrose Road)
 
Hear from a Montgomery County Public School official and other community experts about ways you can help to maintain the physical, mental, and spiritual health of families in the face of  anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and xenophobia.
JCRC staff will also provide an update on the proposed school calendar changes.
