Parents and Professionals for Exceptional Children(PPEC)

Please join the PPEC for our monthly meeting  Monday, November 13th  at 7pm  at the Alice Perlaw Media Center at the high school. This month in addition to time for parents to network and get support, we will have an IT presentation of Chromebook instruction, usage, and assistive applications in the Madison District. 

All are welcome!!

 

Parents and Professionals for Exceptional Children(PPEC)  is a parent run and district supported organization that supports families "From Early Intervention to IEP ...and everything In-Between."   We work to support ALL students and build a truly inclusive environment here in Madison.

Fall Beautification and 

 Veterans Commemoration Day

 

Please join us on November 18th from 9am until 12pm for our annual Fall Beautification and Veterans Day Commemoration celebration. We will again plant bulbs that will beautifully welcome spring and do some fall clean up of the grounds and vegetable garden. As last year, we look forward to this day of service to our community in honor of the service our veterans have given to our country.

Please send in names of veterans in your family to [email protected] so we can do a roll call at the ceremony.

 

Separately, on November 16th we will harvest vegetables from our garden and do a tasting with the children during the school day.

Book Fair Hours Monday, November 20:  8:30am-2pm; 5-8pm Tuesday, November 21:  8:30am-2pm

We need volunteers to ensure the success of the fair.   Sign up to help out when your c hild's class is at the fair! (Or any other time you'd like.) Feel free to bring your kids along while you work the fair!    Please  CLICK HERE  to sign up to help.  Thank you!

On Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21 

(single-session days), 

the multi-purpose room will transform into the 

Wild, Wild West Book Fair! 

As always, there will be a wonderful selection of books including picture books, easy readers, chapter books, cookbooks, reference, and adult books.

  

PLEASE NOTE: On Monday evening from 5-8pm, we will keep the Book Fair open so that working parents (and anyone else who would like to come!) can shop for books. We will not be holding a Books and Breakfast event this year.

The Madison Eagle Christmas Fund

The Madison Eagle will begin collecting donated items for this holiday season to help Madison residents in need. 

 MECF has been helping families in Madison for over 40 years, last year helping over 120 families and seniors.

Kings Road School will be collecting donations of new books, school and art supplies, gloves, hats and mittens for children up to 12 years old.

We will have a large wrapped box in the entrace of our school to accept the donation from our families that would like to give.
