Greetings,
I want you to know about Momentum 2018, which is this year's stewardship emphasis and is reflective of our continuing prayer for First Methodist Conroe.
We have begun a great work this year-which has been to prepare ourselves, our space, and our ministries for a momentum shift within the congregation. By the end of this year, we will have completed our preparations and in 2018 we will begin living into and praying for God to do a mighty work among us. I am confident that our hopes and expectations will be exceeded!
My prayer is one of momentum for our church. Momentum results from movement against inertia and is sometimes defined as the force that drives something forward. As we look toward 2018's ministry budget, we are challenged to lean into the work of reaching more people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Zechariah 4:10 reads, "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." This is our theme verse for our stewardship emphasis. Through Momentum 2018, we are reminded that the work before us is God's work, but it will take all of us to accomplish. When the body of Christ works together, we have momentum that is unstoppable.
I hope that you will be part of the momentum behind FMC in 2018!
Moving forward faithfully,
Jeff Olive Senior Pastor
