Hello Everyone,
Let's welcome November and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. I am certainly thankful for the blessings in my life which include working with amazing children, parents, teachers and staff at Loganville School. Please ask your children what they are thankful for. I asked a few children again this year what they are thankful for. Family and friends were in most answers. I hope YOU know how important YOU are in their little lives! I asked Mr. Stenner, our custodian, what he is thankful for and he answered, "I am thankful I get to work at Loganville Elementary with such a great group of people". Mrs. Colvin answered, "I am thankful for my family and friends, and the wonderful staff and students at Loganville Elementary.
REMEMBER, 20 BOOKS CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! Children who grow up in a home with as few as 20 books reach a higher level of education than those who don't. You can always request extra books to be sent home if you cannot get to the public library. Riff night is also an avenue to get free books.
A quick reminder that the report cards have a new look. The report cards have been updated to reflect grade level benchmarks according to the Wisconsin Academic State Standards (WASS). The WASS learning standards emphasize critical thinking along with proof and evidence of learning through both verbal and written explanation. You will notice that the new report card is more specific and it will give you a deeper look into what your child is learning and achieving. Your child will receive trimester report cards. (3 times per year). If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call. Thank you for your continued support in educating your child.
In partnership,
Mrs. Hayes
