Social Action
Immigrant Justice Shabbat

Friday, November 10 Immigrant Justice Shabbat at TBE

On September 5, 2017, the Trump administration announced its decision to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This decision puts at risk 800,000 undocumented young people who were brought to the U.S. as children and know no other country as home. The Reform Movement calls on Congress to immediately pass a clean Dream Act of 2017.

We are working to to pass a clean Dream Act by participating and are calling upon the entire community to call their elected officials to make our support for the Dream Act known.

Link to the Religious Action Center's Tool Kit for comprehensive information about DACA and the Dream Act of 2017. Page 5 has information about the call in day.

Join us on Friday, November 10 at TBE to learn more about the RAC's Immigrant Justice Campaign of which Rabbi Briskin is the national co-chair.

Knit and Stitch will meet every first and third Thursday of the month.

Knit and Stitch is looking forward to greeting many new members who are interested in knitting, crocheting or any needle work at all.  In fact, please feel welcome to come and just sit and visit with the group.  If you have a project going , you may bring it along or you may choose to participate in the group's knitting project for donation to the poor. We are planning to collaborate in making afghans out of worsted weight acrylic yarn.  This is a simple project and, if you want to learn how to knit, it is an excellent way to start. We will help you.

Please feel free to call Sharon Siegelman (310) 540-1931 or
