Thanksgiving Message From Chuck

I love Thanksgiving time as I think it forces us to reflect upon all the blessings of the past year and take stock in life's precious moments. The last several months have been difficult ones for my family as we lost our beloved black Lab, Baylee in September at the age of 15.5 years and lost my Step-Mother, Carol several weeks ago who had been in our lives for over 30 years. These events that we all eventually face teach you that life is ever changing and that we can't stop the march of time. Carol was a blessing to our family for many years and we are thankful for her presence in our lives. Baylee too, was a blessing to us throughout her life with us. The time we have and spend with our loved ones creates beautiful memories to be cherished and relived after they are gone. I try to express my thankfulness throughout the year but really find that observing this holiday helps me to refocus on our many blessings; family, friends, coworkers, pets, acquaintances, and those chance meetings on the street with strangers who cause you to reflect on something special. I am also extremely thankful for the abundance of love I receive from all those so special to me and the love that is bestowed upon me through my faith. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote:

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy Goodness sends.
For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh and sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in Heaven, we thank Thee!

May this Thanksgiving be one in which you can reflect upon all of life's blessings. Take time to tell those around you what a blessing they are in your lives because TEMPUS FUGIT !

Happy Thanksgiving,

Chuck
