Instructional Coaching That Works

September 20-21, 2018

Denver, CO

Learn a new, more effective approach to instructional coaching that is focused on “inside-out,” strengths-based peer coaching that brings small teams of teachers together, building on the bright spots while learning and growing as peers and professionals.  Participants will also receive extended virtual coaching during 2018-19 school year.

You’ll leave this session knowing how to:

  • Create belief among your school team that personal and collective growth are possible.
  • Build a shared moral purpose among teachers about what coaching is.
  • Use data to drive coaching decisions that will have positive effects on outcomes that matter to all.
  • Identify and build on existing bright spots at your school, using an asset-based coaching approach instead of a deficit model.
  • Establish “triad teams” of three teachers who rotate roles being coach, coachee, and observer.
  • Support and guide teacher triads as they study and reflect on coaching grounded in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Use protocols and guidance to scaffold teachers’ work as their new collaborative behaviors gain strength.

Registration fee:

$399 per person. Includes 2-day workshop and extended virtual coaching plus lunch and refreshments.
