the Pointe Coupee Parish Historical Sosiety is hosting this year's 1st annual Pelican Chamber Music Concert.
Jorge Luis Zamora
Jorge Luis Zamora is native of the city of Colón, in the province of Matanzas, Cuba; where he was born on December 24, 1966.
His father, an interpreter of Tres Cubano (an autochthonous instrument of Cuba), gives him an approach to music; and thus, Zamora begins his studies of guitar in the Provincial School of Art of Matanzas, at the age of 11 years.
The National School of Art of Havana welcomes him like student in 1981, and concludes his studies of music in the specialty of guitar in the year 1985.
His intense artistic career has earned him numerous national and international awards of which we can highlight:
