Jog-a-Thon 2017

CAPSO CORNER:

We made it!  First full week down!  It has been great reconnecting with old friends and welcoming new ones.  The positive energy among the faculty, staff, parents and students is contagious.  It promises to be a memorable year.
Thank you to
Sarah Marchick for being our fearless Room Parent Coordinator this year.  The beginning of the year is A LOT of work for Sarah and she pulls it off with amazing humor and grace.  And thank you to all our room parents who will provide vital leadership throughout the year.
We also want to thank our new hospitality chairs,
Leake Little and Vicky Worboys , who are keeping us well-fed at all the various CAPSO events.  At Charles Armstrong, we  strongly encourage every family to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours for two-parent families and 10-hours for single parent families for the school year.  Volunteering is no longer a requirement with a buy-out option .  Rather, it is  strongly encouraged as a way to engage with the community, partner with the school in your child's education and stay connected to each other  And on the topic of staying connected, please pop by St. James Gate & Pub in Belmont (1410 Old County Rd) after Back to School Night .  Tables will be organized by grade on the patio.  Thank you to the dynamic duo of
Lori Jabagchourian and Veronica Riedel , our Community Building Chairs, for starting a new Armstrong tradition!

Happy birthday to our faculty and staff with September birthdays:
