MNSAA Accreditation Process & SMA Strategic Plan 
 
Survey teams from Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) will be visiting our Stella Maris Academy campuses on October 23rd-25th. MNSAA assists member schools in developing and maintaining the highest possible educational standards that promote student growth and school improvement. 
 
The accreditation process includes a self-study, development of a strategic plan and an onsite visit from the MNSAA accreditation team. The self-study was accomplished through input gathered throughout the Called To Be One process, which included two community retreats, parent surveys, multiple focus groups, and through other means such as the SMA teacher in-service, SMA Governing Board meetings and SMA Principal meetings. We thank our Stella Maris community for participating in this effort.  
 
Please take the time to review the School Strategic Plan (SSP) here. The SSP is a living document that will reflect our ongoing improvement and will be adjusted every year based on progress. The SSP is our roadmap to ensuring an exceptional educational experience for the Stella Maris Academy community.

Stella Maris Academy has a new information tool! Our new website is now up and running at www.stellamaris.academy.
Here you will find information about the school, our Formation Model of Education, admissions details, general campus information, an overview of our Family Association and how to get involved, and links to our Parent Portal and online giving. Information is still being added, so check back periodically to see what is new.
 
StellaMaris.Academy celebrates and shares our school information with the general community, while our Parent Portal is the best place for to find day-to-day information about your local campus and student(s).

Attention Volunteers
Safe Environment Training is r equired for anyone who would like to volunteer at Stella Maris Academy

Safe Environment Training is required for every adult that volunteers or serves in our school. The training is required and provided by the Diocese of Duluth. To complete the Diocesan "Safe Environment" online training before doing any volunteer service with our children please click on the link below. Box Tops for Education & Shiny Paper Program
Start saving today!

Don't know what to do with all of those magazines that keep piling up? Stella Maris Academy is now collecting shiny paper to help raise money for class trips and events sponsored by our Family Association.
 
Acceptable for Collection:
     Magazines, catalogs, shiny newspaper inserts, white copy paper
Not Accepted for Collection:
Newspaper, brown paper bags, wet material, garbage, envelops with plastic windows, colored paper, plastic or phone books
 
In addition to shiny paper collection, we are also taking in Box Tops for Education. Simply purchase any of the hundreds of products with a Box Tops logo, clip the Box Top coupon and send them into your local SMA campus.
 
Both shiny paper and Box Tops can be dropped off at our campus sites. Start collecting today and help raise money for our school!
