Githens Center's Recreation Area Gets a Makeover!

Volunteers from Lowes Home Improvement stores in Lumberton and Maple Shade recently spent a day working together on a complete makeover of Githens Center's recreation area. The team of volunteers contructed a gazebo, added new picnic tables and a wheelchair-friendly patio, and replaced faulty gutters. All of the materials were donated by Lowes.

"This is wonderful. We can't thank Lowes Home Improvement and the volunteers enough for spending their time, money and effort to make these improvements to our outdoor recreation area," Githens Center Executive Director John O'Leary said. "This will be a great benefit to the people with disabilities in our community whom we serve."
