Hey Missoula, have you stumbled across this year's Public Art Guide? It's the 10th Edition; how exciting! This guide was released in May of 2017 and we are still so thrilled about it. First and foremost, the City of Missoula Public Art Committee would like to extend a big thank you to the Missoulian, and all of our advertisers and collaborators that made this magnificent publication a reality.
This pamphlet is a complete guide to Missoula's Public Art, Local Artists, Museums, Galleries and Cultural Events. It has updated images of public art pieces, including the beloved Traffic Signal Boxes. All of the images are labeled with a title, artist, date and more information if applicable. There is even a map of the art walk that can guide you to every art piece!
Towards the back of the guide, there is a Directory of Art that encompasses a list of galleries and museums in Missoula and all of their addresses and contact information. If you ever need help figuring out where to explore for First Friday, this 2017 Public Art Guide is a perfect road map.
Missoula, Montana is an art rich community and the goal of the Public Art Guide is to get as much art related information out to the public as possible. The City of Missoula Public Art Committee hopes this guide is fun and helpful to all who read.
